India vs Pakistan Prediction
This will be a high-pressure contest for both the teams due to the growing tensions between the two countries. But it is going to be an even more important game for Pakistan who have only three points from four matches. A loss at this stage will make things difficult for them as they would then have to win all four of their remaining fixtures in order to progress to the semi-finals. India, on the other hand, will be going into this game high on confidence after having secured convincing victories over South Africa and defending champions Australia. They also have the edge over their opponents as they have always beaten them in World Cup matches.
IND vs PAK Head to Head
India and Pakistan have played 127 completed one-day internationals against each other in the past with the scoreline reading 73-54 in favor of the latter.
India have beaten Pakistan six times in the last eight ODI encounters between the two nations. India won both their matches against them in last year’s Asia Cup at the UAE.
The two teams have faced each other just once at the Old Trafford in the 50-over format. The match was played at the 1999 ICC Cricket World Cup with India emerging victorious by 47 runs.
The win over tournament favorites England earlier in the competition will inject some belief into the Pakistani camp, but we expect Virat Kohli and company to prevail in this blockbuster clash and maintain their pristine World Cup record against the men in green.
