Previous commander Steve Smith and David Warner were incorporated into Australia’s side for an informal World Cup warm-facing New Zealand in Brisbane on Monday, the pair’s first worldwide hit-out following year bans for ball-altering.

Warner will bat at number three behind the opening pair of chief Aaron Finch and Usman Khawaja, with Smith named at four in the one-day coordinate at Allan Border Field.

All-rounder Glenn Maxwell has been refreshed for the first of three informal warm-ups against New Zealand.

Smith and previous bad habit commander Warner were incorporated into Australia’s World Cup squad for the worldwide show-stopper, which begins in England on May 30.

The pair, whose ball-altering bans were lifted in late-March, rejoined their partners for a preparation camp in Brisbane on Friday.

They have been deprived of their administration titles yet head mentor Justin Langer said on Friday they would stay significant tutors in Finch’s side.

Holders Australia play their first World Cup coordinate against Afghanistan on June 1 in Bristol.
